Yes! Hair oiling is a proven way to keep our hair strong and damage-free. It's possibly the most beneficial thing we can do for your hair. Oiling has been used to improve hair health since ancient times. It strengthens your hair, clears bacterial and fungal problems from your scalp, and prevents premature greying. Each type of oil has a certain function. They're all beneficial to your hair in some way. All you have to do is to figure out which type of oil is best for your needs.
According to Ayurveda, applying oil to your scalp and hair at night before taking a head wash the next morning is preferable. If you don't want to leave your hair oil on overnight, apply it and massage it into your scalp and hair 30 minutes to an hour before washing it.
Oiling should be done bi-weekly for people with fine hair and an oily scalp for the best results. Oiling hair once a week is recommended for those with thick hair and a dry scalp.
Oiling your hair on a daily basis also requires shampooing it on a daily basis. To achieve healthy, shiny, and soft hair, this is not the best approach. It is recommended that you oil your hair once or twice a week.
Follow these steps: 1. Choose your favourite oil preferably with ingredients like Curry leaves, Amla, Bhringraj, etc. 2. Slightly warm the oil. 3. Dip your fingers in the oil and apply on your scalp using circular motion. 4. After scalp, oil the rest of the hair till tips. 5. Massage for 10 minutes using fingertips (not nails) 6. Leave it for at least an hour before washing it off or overnight.
Keeping the oil overnight is beneficial but it might not suit everyone. If you oil your hair once a week, keep it overnight. If you have an oily scalp or other issues where the oil may irritate your scalp, keep it for an hour before washing it off.
Yes. Herbal hair oils are natural oil products with important properties that can be used to address hair issues such as thinning hair and a dry or flaky scalp. These oils are used to encourage hair development, enhance blood circulation in the scalp, prevent dandruff, and provide volume to the hair shaft in addition to hydrating purposes.
Antioxidants are abundant in curry leaves. Antioxidants hydrate the scalp while also removing dead hair follicles. Apart from that, curry leaves are good for your hair since they are high in beta-carotene and protein, both of which help to prevent hair loss and thinning. Protein is also necessary for hair growth because hair is made up of protein. Curry leaves are also high in amino acids, which help to build hair follicles.
Amla, like curry leaves, is a well-known hair tonic. It improves hair growth by slowing greying, preventing dandruff, strengthening hair follicles, and increasing blood circulation to the scalp. Amla also works as a natural conditioner, resulting in silky, lustrous tresses.
Aloe vera is a blessing for hair health since it contains more than 75 nutrients, including 20 minerals, 18 amino acids, and 12 power vitamins. It's a hair conditioner, moisturiser, and hair fall remedy all rolled into one. Regularly using aloe vera to your hair will result in healthier, fuller hair in no time. You can use the fresh gel to massage your scalp or make an aloe vera mask. Alternatively, you can use Kaidarya Hair oil which contains Aloe vera along with the goodness of Curry leaves.
Indigo (Indigofera tinctoria), often known as real Indigo, is a natural herb that comes from the bean family. Indigo is a dye that is also used for medicinal purposes. It's mostly grown in Asia and a few African countries. It strengthens each strand of hair by conditioning and nourishing the roots. Using it in your oil or using Kaidarya Hair oil which already has this ingredient has the following benefits:
  • Prevents premature greying of hair
  • Promotes hair growth
  • Reduces dandruff
  • Conditions dry hair
  • Natural hair dye
